Our Story
What began with a single bead and a piece of wire became something we never expected.
How It Started
It started at a craft fair in 2019. A tiny beaded spider sat on a vendor's table, and something about the way the crystals caught the afternoon sun stopped us in our tracks. The vendor explained the old legend — that finding a spider in your Christmas tree brings good luck. She showed us how the wire legs were formed, how each bead was chosen for the way it played with light.
That night, we bought wire, pliers, and a handful of beads. The first spider looked more like a tangled paperclip. The second was barely better. But by the tenth, something clicked. The wire started to feel alive in our hands. The crystals seemed to choose their own places.
Friends started asking for them. Then friends of friends. Then strangers on the internet. What began as a hobby became a passion, and that passion became Fever Dream Designs.
Materials & Process
Genuine Crystals
We use real amethyst, aquamarine, emerald-toned crystals, Czech glass, and Swarovski accents. Each bead is hand-selected for its color, clarity, and the way it refracts light. No plastic. No shortcuts.
Wire Wrapping
Every leg is individually formed from sterling silver or gold-plated wire. We wrap each crystal onto the frame by hand — no glue, no machine work. Just patience and precision.
Hours of Work
A single spider takes 3 to 6 hours to complete. From selecting the crystal palette to shaping the final leg, each step demands full attention. That's why every spider is truly one of a kind.
Built to Last
Despite their delicate appearance, our spiders are surprisingly sturdy. The wire frame provides structural integrity, and the wrapped connections hold fast for years of display.
